Functional Skills Maths Level 2 Past Papers

At QTS Maths Tutor, we help our learners prepare for their functional skills maths exam. A key component of an effective revision plan is past exam papers. This article is intended to help you access the level 2 past papers and to show you how to use them effectively.    The functional skills maths level 2 past papers can be found on multiple websites online but it is important that you know that any papers before 2019 are less relevant as new specifications have been put in place so these papers will be missing specific content. The different exam boards all offer their own individual past papers but they all use the same government curriculum meaning they are all similar. The only main difference between them is their exam structure but they are all still useful to revise from.   Students should only go onto past papers once they have covered all the exam topics as it can affect your confidence if you do poorly on them.  Once you have covered each topic area of the exam then it is time to do your first functional skills maths level 2 past paper. It is best to complete the mock in timed conditions and see how you get on as timing is an important factor. After completion you can use the mark schemes to help mark the paper or ask your tutor to do this for you. This should enable you to identify your weaker topics to focus on. It is important  that you don’t worry too much about the pass mark to begin with and focus more on the past papers as a way to help your revision.
